These little mailboxes are the cutest things! They make great decorations for your home, and kids love putting love notes in them for the rest of the family! I made one of each of my nieces and then a bunch for our family, too. They make our dining room table so very festive, and were very simple to make, too.

This project requires a Cricut or Silhouette. The files are free to download and are available in both PNG and SVG formats.

Notes

The files for this project are sized for a 3” x 5” mailbox. You can find them at Target, at Oriental Trading Company, and any number of other places. However, I purchased them from three different places, and each kind was slightly different. So measure and resize the design accordingly.

I have seen the mailboxes in red, white, and pink.

Tips

The LOVE portion of the design should go on the side of the mailbox without the flag.

To maneuver around the flag, you may need to remove one of the hearts as you are applying the vinyl.

Use an x-acto knife to work the vinyl around the bump underneath the flag.

I added names on each of our mailboxes. This is completely up to you! But choose a pretty font and add your own!

Love Notes

Use your mailboxes as a decorative centerpiece in a central place in your home. Leave small pieces of paper and pens out so that your family can leave love notes for each other. We put out a pile of doilies and a few red pens.

When you put a note in someone’s mailbox, be sure to raise the flag so they know to look inside!
